Payment

We pride ourselves in being transparent with our clients when it comes to medicine and finances. We are here to help your pet regardless of your financial status. We also offer different financing options for those in need.

If you have any special considerations regarding payment, please discuss this with the receptionist prior to seeing the doctor. We accept a variety of payment options, including cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit.

CareCredit

CareCredit is a personal line of credit for healthcare, both human and veterinary, that works like a credit card. To apply, click here for the CareCredit Online Credit Application or call their 24/7 phone number at 1-800-365-8295.

Pre- Surgical Requirements

The safety of your pet is our only priority when they are being prepared for surgery. However, prior to every surgery we require that all patients receive a pre-op bloodwork panel and an electrocardiogram regardless of age and/or breed.

  • The bloodwork panel can be done up to 30 days prior to the surgery day. We perform an electrocardiogram onsite prior to the surgery and those results are sent to a board-certified Cardiologist to look for any potential irregularities. The results then get sent to us within 30 minutes with the cardiologist recommendations and we then proceed with the surgery if approved.

Day of Surgery

All patients must be fasted prior to the surgery. Pets can not have any food after midnight the night before and no breakfast the morning of the surgery. Water throughout the night and day is ok.

All of our surgeries are done on Tuesdays and Thursdays and patients need to be dropped off by 8:00am- 8:30am.

Drop Offs

We know how busy your schedule can be, that’s why we are here to accommodate you any way possible. We offer pet parents the opportunity to drop off their pets so the Doctor can see the patient between his already existing appointments. This eliminates you having to stay in the clinic when your schedule does not permit it.

In order to maintain a healthy, clean hospital environment, pets must be free of ectoparasites such as fleas and ticks and be current on vaccinations and fecal checks. If necessary, pets can be updated on vaccines and treated for any parasites during the same consultation.

All drop offs must arrive prior to 2:00pm Monday- Friday, and no later than 9:00am on Saturdays.

Spa Days

Whether it means going the extra distance with a specific cleanse or level of care your pet requires, or even the occasional late close or early open in order to accommodate your unusual busy schedule, we’ll always do our best to make it happen.

Once at El Cid Animal Clinic your pooch can kick back and relax while it receives a luxurious twice-shampooed bath, anal gland expression, nail trim, and an ear check.

They will be sent home with a complimentary spa goodie bag, including an El Cid Animal Clinic leash, a Royal Canin attachable poop bag holder, toothpaste and a toothbrush. All breeds are welcome.

We provide flea baths and a wide variety of medicated baths to soothe your pet’s coat. During this time, we offer complete assurance that our guests will be taken care of, which includes water, affection, safety, and even the occasional treat, with your permission of course.

All spa day drop offs must arrive prior to 12:00pm Monday- Friday and be picked up no later than 5:00pm. On Saturday, please drop off no later than 9am and pick up by 12:30pm.
